{"id":4246,"date":"2017-09-13T16:21:55","date_gmt":"2017-09-13T21:21:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/colombianitos.org\/?p=4246"},"modified":"2017-09-13T16:21:55","modified_gmt":"2017-09-13T21:21:55","slug":"6-400-students-from-bogota-participate-in-the-program-goals-for-better-life","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.colombianitos.org\/en\/6-400-students-from-bogota-participate-in-the-program-goals-for-better-life\/","title":{"rendered":"6.400 STUDENTS FROM BOGOT\u00c1 PARTICIPATE IN \u201cGOALS FOR A BETTER LIFE\u201d PROGRAM"},"content":{"rendered":"<body><p><\/p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]\n<div class=\"breadcrumbs\"><\/div>\n<div id=\"component\" class=\"floatbox\">\n<div id=\"system\" class=\"\">\n<div class=\"item\">\nSoccer reaches the public schools as a strategy to improve school interaction within the framework of an alliance between the District Secretary of Education and the Colombianitos Foundation Inc.<br>\n<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>The ball is already moving in 20 public schools,<\/strong>pioneers in the implementation of the Goals for a Better Life\u201d program that seeks to develop skills and competencies through dribbles, jockeys and volleys.\n<div class=\"content\">\n<img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.educacionbogota.edu.co\/images\/Noticias\/2017\/Goles_para_una_vida_mejor.jpg?w=1080\" alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\"><br>\nThis is what the Colombianitos Foundation Inc. refers to as \u201c<strong>Let\u2019s play for peace\u201d pedagogy<\/strong>and which, thanks to the commitment of Mayor Enrique Pe\u00f1alosa\u2019s government to improve interaction and school environments<strong>, is reaching the District\u2019s students for the first time in 2017.<\/strong><br>\n<strong>Under the premise that a<\/strong><strong>soccer match is like life itself<\/strong>because in it one imagines, builds, lives, cries and experiences joys and frustrations, <strong>6,400 children and young people<\/strong>strengthen their discipline, perseverance and, especially, learn to manage their emotions, resolve conflicts peacefully, and communicate assertively.<br>\n<img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.educacionbogota.edu.co\/images\/Noticias\/2017\/Goles_para_una_vida_mejor_1.jpg?w=1080\" alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\">\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cIn Bogot\u00e1, we understand that our <strong>children and young people are our top priority<\/strong>, and that is why we are making every effort to ensure that they have the opportunities and scenarios for a comprehensive education, <strong>so that they learn more and become more sociable and happier citizens<\/strong>,\u201d said Mayor Enrique Pe\u00f1alosa.<br>\n\u201cGoals for a Better Life\u201d began with the <strong>training of teachers from public schools<\/strong>who will be facilitators of the program in their institutions. They received certified theoretical-practical training to learn in depth about the program\u2019s methodology and how to introduce it into the practices and activities of their classes.<br>\nGelber Alfonso, a physical education teacher at the Crist\u00f3bal Col\u00f3n School in the town of Usaqu\u00e9n, stressed that \u201cthis is a very significant intervention at this moment in time that the country is experiencing in the face of peace. By bringing these tools into our classroom we build a more peaceful society with better interaction.\u201d<br>\n\u201cThrough this program we bring the students closer together and <strong>make the fields a setting for meaningful learning for our students<\/strong>, which contributes to school fellowship and the creation of a peaceful Bogot\u00e1,\u201d highlights Mar\u00eda Victoria Angulo, the district\u2019s Education Secretary.<br>\nThe \u201cKing Sport\u201d joins the program of Bogota to transform its schools into scenarios of reunification and reconciliation.
