Dear Colombianitos friends:

Today I greet you with several wonderful news for our organization. There is one that has a very special place in my heart and that means another dream come true: the launching of the seventh Colombianitos program; this time in my beloved Bucaramanga. It was a huge satisfaction to start operations in a community affected by extreme poverty and victims of a tragic flood. Now they not only enjoy a decent house but the intervention of Colombianitos, thanks to the sports infrastructure built by the mayor’s office. Thank you to our local sponsors!

I want to share other important accomplishments that we have achieved as an organization; among them the award received by Beyond Sport in the UNICEF Children’s Rights category, The honor of being chosen as a ‘Colombiana de Corazon’ (Colombian with heart), an award that would not have been possible without the support and passion of every one that integrates our organization as our faithful donors, volunteers, employees and Board Members. The launching of our successful “Colombianitos Product” campaign that allows us to continue positioning our brand as an organization that works in favor of children, also being an important vehicle of fundraising for our programs.

Lastly I want to leave you with a beautiful challenge: help us raise the funds needed to take the only Colombian team that will represent us in South Africa 2010 world cup. Colombianitos team!! That will play a parallel tournament to the World cup with other organizations that use football for development as part of the Football for Hope Movement. Thanks to the generous invitation from FIFA that will take care of hotel accommodations, meals and internal transportation for our delegation of 11 kids, we are dreaming of taking them to South Africa. We need something very important: the 11 airline tickets!!

We have decided that we cannot deny them this unimaginable trip to our Colombianitos; so we need to count with all of you to help us with donations and fundraising mechanisms to be able to finance the 11 tickets to South Africa. We can’t miss this unique opportunity!!

COLOMBIANITOS launched its seventh Goals for a Better Life program in Bucaramanga
	On Sunday, October 18th, COLOMBIANITOS launched its 7th Goals for a Better Life which will initially benefit 300 children in the San Ignacio Villas of the Bavaria Sector. The program will serve a population affected by poverty, displacement and the flooding from 2005. More Information

Goals for a Better Life from COLOMBIANITOS receives the BEYOND SPORT award – www.beyondsport.org in the UNICEF Children’s Rights category
Ana Arizabaleta, Director of Operations from COLOMBIANITOS with the BEYOND SPORT Ambassador and British former prime Minister, Tony Blair	The UNICEF ambassador of the United Kingdom, Lord Puttnam, granted COLOMBIANITOS the BEYOND SPORT award in the UNICEF Children’s Rights category on July 9, 2009, in ceremony carried out in London at the BEYOND SPORT summit. COLOMBIANITOS was selected among 300 organizations from 80 countries. The award recognizes the importance of sports as a tool for a positive social change. More Information

Angela Patricia Janiot, COLOMBIANITOS President, receives the “Colombiano de corazon” (Colombian from heart) recognition
	COLOMBIANITOS President, Angela Patricia Janiot, received the recognition of “Colombiano de Corazon” on August 19th for her commitment with the positive image of the country internationally, for her outstanding job as a journalist and for her work for the underprivileged boys and girls of Colombia. COLOMBIANITOS launched the campaign “COLOMBIANITOS Products” for the second consecutive year to raise funds for its programs

The campaign that was launched in the month of August has the objective of motivating Colombian businesses, within the philosophy of social responsibility, to place the COLOMBIANITOS logo on one or several of their products and donate a percentage of the sales or a fixed amount for their participation in the campaign. The companies that joined in 2009: AzulK, Cafam, Colsubsidio, Carrefour, Cine Colombia (Colombia Movie Theaters), Éxito Stores, Popsy Ice Cream, Kimberly Clark, Olímpica, Postobon, Master-Card and Repcol. COLOMBIANITOS invited by The FIFA and Streetfootballworld to the Football for Hope Festival, a world’s cup event of South Africa 2010
	The group of 11 COLOMBIANITOS representatives (4 boys and 4 girls, a coach, a young leader and a coordinator) will be part of the 32 representing delegations of organizations from all over the world. All who are dedicated to the development through football. The delegations will meet in Alexandra, Johannesburg from July 4th to the 10th 2010. More Information.

SONY Colombia - www.sony.com.co/corporate announces its support to COLOMBIANITOS and starts Football Route SONY-COLOMBIANITOS with the objective to disseminate the labor of the organization in different cities of the country.

SONY Colombia will support the work of COLOMBIANITOS with a donation of $ 15,789.00 Dollars which will be destined to finance the secondary education of 15 teens until their high-school graduation. Additionally, SONY will donate photographic & video cameras to the organization with the objective of making it easier to document the activities that the children and teens carry out. The Colombian singer JERAU sang with the girls of COLOMBIANITOS in Sincelejo
	During a public concert which the singer JERAU offered in the month of September, some of the girls from COLOMBIANITOS had the opportunity of getting up on stage to sing with him.

3 COLOMBIANITOS in Medellin invited by MASTERCARD – www.mastercard.com to the elimination match for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa – Colombia Vs. Ecuador
	On Saturday, September 5th, 3 Colombianitos of the 3rd municipality of Medellin, along with a football coach, enjoyed an afternoon of football thanks to a donation of 4 tickets given by MASTERCARD. The gratitude of Carlos, Esteban and Jorge were summarized in these words “Thanks to COLOMBIANITOS we were able to attend the match and see our players live".

LOUISE HEUGEL, young French artist helped the children of Bogota (Ciudad Bolivar) and Cartagena to decorate their offices
	During her visit to Colombia, the young artist LOUISE HEUGEL carried out a project with the children of Colombianitos from the Bogota and Cartagena offices, designing and helping them paint their walls with decoration that mirrored the activities the organization carries out.
