Recognized as one of Colombia’s poorest and most violent regions, over 700 children – with 98.7% of participants enrolled in school – now benefit from Goals For A Better life in this slum area of Bogota. “Our community has changed. The ‘tramping’ has gone down a lot because children are busy instead of being in the street. I learned values and to listen to teachers. You always see your teachers as something huge, something that you cannot reach and it’s a nice feeling to know that now I can be a little like them by being a football trainer.” Female, 18 years old – Member of Colombianitos Young Trainers’ program.
